Project 1

E-COMMERCE SAAS (AI-POWERED PPC AUTOMATION FOR BOL.COM SELLERS)

Madbot.ai

Madbot.ai is an AI-powered PPC automation platform built for sellers on Bol.com, the largest online marketplace in the Netherlands and Belgium. The platform helps sellers automate campaign creation, optimize bids, manage keywords, and improve advertising performance through intelligent automation and AI-driven recommendations. As one of the founding Product Owners, I was involved from the product's inception through launch and post-release growth, helping transform an idea into a production-ready SaaS platform.
Problem
Advertising on Bol.com required sellers to manually create campaigns, optimize bids, manage keywords, and monitor performance. Existing workflows were time-consuming, difficult to scale, and lacked intelligent automation, making it challenging for sellers to maximize advertising performance efficiently. The objective was to build a modern AI-powered platform that simplified campaign management while enabling sellers to achieve better advertising outcomes with significantly less manual effort.
SOLUTION
I helped define the product vision, roadmap, and feature strategy from the ground up, working closely with stakeholders and engineering throughout the development lifecycle. I led Agile delivery across a seven-member engineering team, ensuring features were delivered on time and met business objectives. Beyond product delivery, I personally onboarded new customers through live product demonstrations, gathered customer feedback to influence future development, and managed post-launch support, maintenance, and backlog prioritization to ensure continuous product improvement.

Challenges
Building a completely new SaaS platform required balancing rapid feature delivery with long-term scalability and product quality. One of the biggest challenges was coordinating multiple engineering disciplines, including Laravel backend development, Next.js frontend development, Python-based synchronization services, and third-party marketplace integrations—while continuously validating product assumptions through customer feedback. Ensuring seamless synchronization with the Bol.com platform and maintaining a smooth onboarding experience for new users were also key priorities throughout development.
Lessons Learned

Project 2

E-COMMERCE SAAS (AMAZON SELLER TOOLS)

AMZ Alert

AMZ Alert is a SaaS monitoring platform built for Amazon sellers, brands, and agencies to protect their listings and revenue. The platform continuously monitors critical marketplace events—including Buy Box ownership, listing health, pricing changes, keyword rankings, hijackers, and competitor activity—and delivers real-time alerts so sellers can respond before losing sales. During my tenure, the product evolved from a basic monitoring solution into a feature-rich platform capable of serving larger agencies and enterprise customers through advanced alerting, integrations, and multi-user collaboration.
Problem
The Amazon seller software market had become increasingly competitive, with established tools such as Amalytix, AMZMonitor, DataHawk, Helium 10, and Jungle Scout offering overlapping functionality. AMZ Alert needed to differentiate itself by delivering more intelligent monitoring, enterprise-ready collaboration features, and workflow integrations while modernizing an aging technical foundation. At the same time, the platform had to scale without disrupting existing customers.
SOLUTION
I led product discovery through customer interviews and competitor analysis to identify high-impact opportunities that would differentiate AMZ Alert in a crowded market. I then prioritized a roadmap focused on advanced alerting, enterprise-ready collaboration (multi-user orgs, role-based permissions), and workflow integrations (Slack, Airtable, ClickUp) — while coordinating a parallel backend modernization and database migration to keep the platform scalable and reliable as we grew.
My Role
Product Owner I owned the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery by: • Conducting market and competitor analysis • Interviewing customers to identify pain points and validate product ideas. • Creating and prioritizing the product roadmap. • Writing user stories and acceptance criteria. • Managing the backlog in JIRA. • Working daily with one frontend and one backend developer. • Leading sprint planning and release coordination. • Performing functional QA and regression testing before releases. • Managing post-release issues and assigning support tickets. • Coordinating directly with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Tech Stack
Backend: .NET / .NET Core Frontend: JavaScript Project Management: JIRA, Confluence Integrations: Slack, Airtable, ClickUp Platform: Amazon Seller SaaS
Key Features
• Advanced Buy Box Alerts • Leech Alerts • Listing Health Alerts • Organic Rank Change Alerts • Pricing Change Alerts • Keyword Monitoring Enhancements • Slack Notifications • Airtable Integration • ClickUp Integration • Multi-user Organizations • Role-based User Permissions • Enterprise Account Support • Advanced Monitoring Rules • Improved Alert Configuration • Enhanced Reporting • Performance Improvements • Platform Modernization • Additional marketplace monitoring enhancements
Business Impact
• Grew the customer base by 5x after new features were releaed. • Reduced customer churn by approximately 50%. • Improved customer retention to 65–70%. • Enabled the platform to monitor 2,000+ Amazon ASINs. • Helped onboard larger agencies and enterprise customers through organization support and workflow integrations. • Delivered approximately 20 major features that significantly strengthened the product's competitive position. • Contributed to multiple-fold revenue growth as the customer base expanded.
Challenges
One of the most significant challenges was modernizing the platform while maintaining service reliability. The backend was running on an outdated .NET version that required extensive refactoring. In parallel, the engineering team executed a database migration to improve scalability. As Product Owner, I coordinated planning, prioritization, testing, and release management to ensure these infrastructure changes were deployed with minimal downtime and virtually no disruption to customers.
Lessons Learned
This project reinforced several important product management principles: • Direct customer interviews uncover opportunities that competitor analysis alone cannot. • Successful enterprise SaaS products require both powerful features and seamless collaboration workflows. • Infrastructure modernization is as critical to long-term product success as customer-facing functionality. • Careful prioritization allows small teams to compete effectively against much larger competitors. • Product discovery should be driven by measurable customer problems rather than assumptions.
Project 3

E-commerce SaaS (Amazon Merch on Demand Research & Automation)

MerchNinja

MerchNinja is a SaaS platform built for Amazon Merch on Demand sellers to research profitable niches, discover trending keywords, monitor trademarks, analyze product demand, and identify new design opportunities. The platform enables print-on-demand businesses to make informed product decisions, reduce research time, and launch designs with greater confidence. During my involvement, the platform evolved beyond research by introducing workflow automation, marketplace insights, and planning tools that helped sellers streamline both product research and publishing.
Problem
The Amazon Merch ecosystem was becoming increasingly competitive, with established tools such as Merch Informer, Helium 10, Jungle Scout, and DataHawk continuously introducing new capabilities. To remain competitive, MerchNinja needed to: • Expand beyond basic product research. • Deliver more actionable insights for sellers. • Improve workflow efficiency. • Modernize the user experience. • Differentiate itself through unique planning and automation features.
SOLUTION
Working alongside the Lead Product Owner, I helped shape the product roadmap through competitor research, customer feedback, and feature discovery. I coordinated feature delivery from planning to release, ensured quality through hands-on QA, managed development timelines, and communicated progress directly with stakeholders. I also collaborated with the website design team during the redesign of the MerchNinja website, helping deliver a modern customer experience that better represented the platform's growing capabilities.

Challenges
Balancing continuous feature delivery with long-term product improvements was one of the biggest challenges. The team simultaneously worked on new research capabilities, automation features, UI improvements, third-party integrations, and a complete website redesign. Coordinating these initiatives across multiple developers while maintaining release quality required careful prioritization, communication, and sprint planning.
Lessons Learned
This project strengthened my experience in: • Product discovery through market and competitor research. • Coordinating cross-functional Agile teams. • Translating customer feedback into roadmap priorities. • Managing product releases from planning through QA. • Collaborating with engineering, design, and stakeholders simultaneously. • Building products that combine research, automation, and workflow optimization to deliver greater customer value.
