- Problem
- Advertising on Bol.com required sellers to manually create campaigns, optimize bids, manage keywords, and monitor performance. Existing workflows were time-consuming, difficult to scale, and lacked intelligent automation, making it challenging for sellers to maximize advertising performance efficiently. The objective was to build a modern AI-powered platform that simplified campaign management while enabling sellers to achieve better advertising outcomes with significantly less manual effort.
- SOLUTION
- I helped define the product vision, roadmap, and feature strategy from the ground up, working closely with stakeholders and engineering throughout the development lifecycle. I led Agile delivery across a seven-member engineering team, ensuring features were delivered on time and met business objectives. Beyond product delivery, I personally onboarded new customers through live product demonstrations, gathered customer feedback to influence future development, and managed post-launch support, maintenance, and backlog prioritization to ensure continuous product improvement.

- Challenges
- Building a completely new SaaS platform required balancing rapid feature delivery with long-term scalability and product quality. One of the biggest challenges was coordinating multiple engineering disciplines, including Laravel backend development, Next.js frontend development, Python-based synchronization services, and third-party marketplace integrations—while continuously validating product assumptions through customer feedback. Ensuring seamless synchronization with the Bol.com platform and maintaining a smooth onboarding experience for new users were also key priorities throughout development.
